From your audio to text you can work with.

Select a recording, review its words, and save the result.

Select or record your audio

Choose Record with microphone and allow access. Pause, resume, discard or stop to review before transcribing. Keep this page open while recording.

Open the tool and choose Select audio, or drag a file into the upload area. Files must be no longer than 60 minutes and no larger than 100 MB. Duration is checked before the model starts.

MP3 and WAV are usually the most compatible formats. Support for M4A, OGG, Opus, FLAC, AAC and WebM depends on your browser's codecs.

Choose the spoken language

If you know the language, select it manually, especially with noisy recordings or long opening silences. Automatic detection analyzes the audio, not your browser or operating system language. It may choose a predominant language in multilingual recordings.

The two Spanish options use the same recognition model. Their regional preference guides spell checking; it does not translate or replace spoken expressions.

Choose quality and start

Fast uses Whisper Base. Higher accuracy uses Whisper Small and requires a larger download, more memory and more time. Neither guarantees a perfect transcript.

The local speech detector skips sections without voice while preserving original timestamps. Turn it off if it misses quiet speech.

The first use downloads model and engine files. Processing happens on your device, using a compatible GPU when available or the CPU. Start with a short clip, keep the app open, and prevent the device from sleeping.

Listen and edit

Review the editable segments and use their timestamps to listen again. Check names, numbers, dates and technical terms. Changing the audio language applies to the next transcription; it does not change existing text.

Save before closing

Download TXT, Word or PDF, with optional timestamps. Documents are created locally. Your session is not saved to a VoxTexto account or history.

Install on a phone

On Android, use your browser's Install app or Add to home screen option. On iPhone and iPad, open Safari and choose Share, then Add to Home Screen. Installation does not increase memory or guarantee background processing. Keep the app open.
